Marc initially practiced in Boston, focusing on commercial and bankruptcy litigation while representing corporate clients, and learning the value of research and writing. It was in Boston that Marc was mentored by one of Boston’s most respected bankruptcy attorneys.
In July 2004, Marc and his family moved to New Orleans where he became an associate at Sessions, Fishman & Nathan, LLP, representing some of the world’s largest debt collection agencies and their associated clients in cases large and small. Marc handled a nationwide caseload of claims brought by individual consumers, as well as classes of consumers alleging violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), as well as various state law consumer claims. It was at this firm that Marc learned to manage an immense workload, while balancing family and personal obligations.
Returning from a Hurricane Katrina forced evacuation, Marc moved to McGlinchey Stafford, PLLC where he continued to represent corporate clients such as banks, mortgage and finance companies and other business entities in large scale cases involving all manner of consumer finance claims, such as those brought under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and Unfair Trade Practices claims, as well as defending countless hurricane related insurance actions. Here, Marc learned an attention to detail that continues to aid him in his career to this day.
In March 2007, Marc joined forces with several other McGlinchey lawyers to form a Labor & Employment section within Lemle & Kelleher, LLP, focusing on employment litigation, representing corporate clients in claims brought by individuals alleging race, age, disability, national origin, and sex discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. For nearly two years, Marc litigated cases in Federal and State courts, and represented respondents in Charges of Discrimination brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
In February of 2009, Marc began his sole practice, focusing on the individual plaintiff. Marc now helps individual consumers and workers in cases brought against the very types of companies he used to defend. Marc uses his years of specific experience to assist his clients achieve reasonable goals through litigation and counseling.
Frequently, Marc resolves matters without judicial intervention, as this is the least costly and time consuming means possible. Either way, Marc has the experience and knowledge to successfully guide his clients through the complex realm of consumer and employment law.
